About the Disability Essex Access and Equality Consultancy
History
The Disability Essex Access and Equality Consultancy (AEC) continues, and develops, the initiatives set up during our successful European Social Fund (ESF) funded project.
With the help of the ESF, Essex Disability Access Services Ltd (EDAS) was created to provide administrative support and an office base for access auditors, on successful completion of the Disability Essex access auditor training course.
Since the conclusion of this project, in 2006, our newly-formed Access and Equality Consultancy (AEC) has effectively transferred the initiatives of EDAS into the core activities of Disability Essex.
Through the AEC, Disability Essex continues to provide a ‘one stop shop’ for access audits and disability related training, together with a conciliation service to assist in cases of dispute over accessibility issues.
